Vitafoods International celebrates its 10th anniversary when it returns to Geneva Palexpo this month. Europe's leading nutraceutical and functional-foods exhibition brings together manufacturers of nutraceutical ingredients, dietary supplements and cosmeceutical ingredients.
The organisers predict the event will be bigger than ever, with more visitors and more and larger booths. This year the show will see a 20 per cent increase in floor space with 55 new exhibitors, including Danisco, Berkem and CHR Hansen.
Three new international pavilions include New Zealand, Scotland and CBI (the Netherlands), as well as the established pavilions of Korea, Wusata (the Western US Agricultural Trade Association), Bretagne International (France), China, and the Americas.
The SIPPO Pavilion will house companies from Peru, Vietnam, Macedonia, Romania, Ghana and Ecuador, and will present ingredients and semifinished products such as essential oils, extracts and tinctures as well as dried products.
Other features include the New Products Zone, the Annual Vitafoods Discussion Forum, the Seminar Theatre and the Vitafoods International Conference. The Finished Products Expo will give visitors an opportunity to compare hundreds of finished products before making purchasing decisions, source new suppliers or look for private-labelling services. More than 70 companies from around the globe will be exhibiting, offering a range of products including children's supplements, herbal remedies and sports nutrition.
Experts will present talks about the latest industry developments at the two-day international conference, organised by industry experts Leatherhead International, while speakers at the highly popular Seminar Theatre will inform audiences about new-product launches, innovations and research findings.
