Vitaganic Inc. announces that it has received its good manufacturing practice (GMP) certification from NSF International on November 30th, 2010, a qualification which, though not required by the FDA, is considered the mark of a trustworthy and safely distributed product in the dietary supplement industry. The certification was received in the company’s new, state-of-the-art manufacturing plant which is roughly three times the size of its previous facility.
“Quality, safety, and effectiveness have always been our foremost considerations in making supplements,” said Vitaganic’s Executive Chairman Nick Leese. “I’m excited to share this news with our customers and business partners. Getting GMP certified is just one of our many steps to demonstrate our commitment to exceeding customer expectations and to maintaining manufacturing excellence.”
Vitaganic’s unique selling proposition is to offer fully-customized dietary supplements to individuals and private label business partners with no minimum order requirement. Their mass customization business model ensures that the company’s products are always freshly-made to order.
Mass customization often requires a high degree of precision and efficiency in manufacturing. “On top of getting GMP certification, we’ve also applied computer aided manufacturing through the use of real-time processing software and robotics, and will continue to incorporate more such robotics into the manufacturing process,” said Mr. Leese. Vitaganic’s application of robotics is intended to further ensure a consistently high-quality, safe, and reliable product for consumers, he said.
