According to the Council for Responsible Nutrition’s 2016 Consumer Survey on Dietary Supplements, a whopping 71 percent of American adults are supplement users. Nearly 20 percent of them say the reason they take supplements is to improve their digestive health, and about one-third of them are already taking a sports nutrition supplement. Retailers would be wise to reach this broad and eager consumer base with enzymes, which allow them to address both digestive health and exercise recovery all at once.
