Sabroxy® (Oroxylum indicum extract): A scientifically validated brain nutrient – white paper

Sabroxy® is a neuroprotective and memory-enhancing extract from the dried bark of the Indian trumpet tree (Oroxylum indicum), with numerous additional benefits. Sabroxy is a standardized, clinically studied, patent-protected extract of Oroxylum indicum containing flavones Oroxylin A, Baicalein, and Chrysin.

In a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical study involving 82 subjects for twelve weeks, Sabroxy® showed effectiveness in improving cognitive function in adults with self-reported cognitive complaints. Sabroxy® consumption was associated with greater improvements in episodic memory and a faster rate of learning on the location learning task which is a measure of visuospatial learning and recall. There were no significant adverse events during the study. Sabroxy® increased BDNF levels in the treatment group and to achieve statistical significance, it needs to be tested on a larger scale.

Sabinsa holds US and other international patents on the composition and several uses of Sabroxy® related to brain functions related to its nootropic potential.
