Jennifer Maxwell is a lifelong runner and a mother of six with a degree from UC Berkeley in nutrition and food science. She and her husband Brian launched the entire energy bar category with the creation of PowerBar in 1985. They sold the company to Nestle in 2000, after which, Jennifer focused on raising her children. After Brian's untimely passing, Jennifer discovered the healing power of music and became a drummer. Now, years later, she combined her passion for athletics, nutrition and music with the creation of JAMBAR. Her company blends real food, organic nutrition with community-building philanthropy by donating 50% of after-tax profits to organizations that support active living and music.
