New Food Order, a new podcast, will explore the business of tackling the climate crisis through food and agriculture. As climate change threatens the future well-being of the planet and its inhabitants, New Hope is proud to be a partner of this podcast and to represent the natural products industry's role in leading the change.
Danielle Gould and Louisa Burwood-Taylor co-host the podcast. Gould is the founder and CEO of Food+Tech Connect, a website dedicated to covering the food tech sector. She has a degree in environmental science and sociology from University of Wisconsin, per her LinkedIn profile. Burwood-Taylor, editor of AgFunderNews, has covered foodtech, agriculture and finances during her 13-year journalism career. She has a bachelor's degree in international history and politics from the University of Leeds in the United Kingdom, according to her LinkedIn profile.
New Food Order will embark on a journey to understand how businesses might be redesigned and financed to have the greatest positive impact on people and the planet. Hosted by AgFunder and Food+Tech Connect, the podcast will feature nuanced conversations and debates with and between farmers, entrepreneurs, executives, investors and other stewards that explore a broad range of questions:
Will plant-based, lab-grown meat and regenerative agriculture save the world?
Is "carbon neutral" effective enough?
What are the most people and planet-friendly business and finance models?
How might the food and agricultural communities best honor and learn from indigenous communities?
How might the food industry avoid the unintended consequences of new innovation?

Sean Sherman, James Beard Award-winning cookbook author and chef (The Sioux Chef, Owamni).
Sam Kass, former chef and nutrition policy adviser in the Obama Administration, food entrepreneur.
Navina Khanna, co-founder and executive director of HEAL Food Alliance.
Julia Collins, founder of Planet FWD, a carbon-management platform, and CPG brand Moonshot Snacks.
