Juice for the immune system
Canadian juice company, Oasis, launched its new Health Break with Wellmune. Health Break is a juice blend of apple, grape, blackcurrant, elderberry and lemon. In each 250ml glass there is 100mg of the Wellmune WGP, a yeast glycan whose beneficial effect on the human immune system has been scientifically proven. It is GRAS-approved, kosher, nonallergenic and GMO free.


World's first water-soluble hemp-protein concentrate
Manitoba Harvest has officially launched Hemp PRO 70, the first water-soluble hemp-protein concentrate. Each 30g serving of Hemp PRO 70 contains 21g of protein and 800mg of omega-3s. It contains all 10 of the amino acids that are essential to the human body in high levels. Hemp is not a known allergen to people with food sensitivities and Hemp PRO 70 is soy free, gluten free and hexane free.

Ganeden and Liquid Health team up
Ganeden Biotech and Liquid Health Labs have released their new probiotic-enhanced beverage called FHS, which stands for fresh, healthy stuff. It contains 12oz of purified water and a powdered formulation of GanedenBC30 probiotics, antioxidants from fruit concentrates, vitamins and prebiotic fibre. The powdered formula is stored inside the bottle cap using PowerCap technology, and is released into the water by pressing the button on top of the bottle.


First organic-certified frozen yoghurt
Cloud Top launched the first frozen-yoghurt soft serve to be both USDA Certified Organic and approved by the National Yogurt Association. This new line is also enhanced with omega-3 DHA, inulin prebiotic fibre, six strains of live probiotic cultures, vitamin D and calcium. It is also free of high-fructose corn syrup, gluten, cholesterol, artificial sweeteners, colours, flavours and preservatives.


Chocolate chews to lower cholesterol
Cargill's new product, Cardio Chews, which comes in both cherry and chocolate flavours, is the latest way to help reduce LDL cholesterol. Cardio Chews are sugar free and contain 30 calories and 0.4g of plant sterols each. The plant sterols contained in Cardio Chews come from Cargill's CoroWise naturally sourced cholesterol reducer.


Ocean-based skin care
OceanGrown International is offering its latest natural ocean-based product with the OAVE Skincare line. The line features ingredients such as astaxanthin (an antioxident), Icelandic moss, Irish seaweed, and Antarctic krill oil. Two particular plants used—Lavandula stoechas and Crithmum maritimum—were found to more than double the amount of endorphins released by skin cells and sensory neurons.


Banana-flavored hydration
Banananuun is the latest of the six flavours of balanced hydration from the nuun & Company of Seattle. Each tablet of Banananuun is sugar free and contains sodium, potassium, magnesium and calcium. Banananuun comes in tablet form in recyclable tubes with 12 tablets in each.

Navitas Naturals
Navitas Naturals has produced a new line of snack mixes, Organic Trail Power, which come in three varieties—Goji-Golden Berry-Mulberry, Goji-Cacao Nibs-Cashew, and Three Berry-Cacao Nibs-Cashew. The new line is made with raw organic berries and nuts that provide antioxidants, protein, fibre, vitamins and minerals.
