Pasta is such a versatile food: It can be nutritious, a comfort food or just a quick, tasty meal. Until a few years ago, though, consumers with celiac disease or who couldn’t tolerate gluten didn’t have many options for a pleasant dinner of tortellini, lasagna or penne.
Similarly, vegan consumers were denied the comfort of whipping up a quick dish of macaroni and cheese after a hard day or as an easy snack.
