Alchem hires VP of business development & sales

Tom Schrier will lead Alchem’s presence in the U.S. as it continues to grow its business in the nutraceutical, cosmetic and e-cigarette industries.

Alchem International has hired Tom Schrier as vice president of business development and sales. Schrier will lead Alchem’s presence in the U.S. as it continues to expand its footprint in the dietary supplement, cosmetic and e-cigarette industries. 

Schrier has over 24 years of experience in sales, marketing, compliance and regulatory affairs for a variety of pharmaceutical and nutritional supplement companies. Most recently, Schrier was vice president of sales and marketing with Nascent Health Sciences where he helped launch Nascent’s PureQQ, a dietary supplement that he helped trademark and submit for FDA approval. 

He served as director of sales for Kaneka, which manufactures dietary ingredients for the supplement, food and beverage industries. As account manager for Colloides Naturels International, Schrier helped open new markets for Acacia gum, a food emulsifier. He was also a senior account manager with Ashland Distribution where he was responsible for over 80 clients, including two multi-million dollar accounts.

Schrier has an MBA from Otterbein College, a master of science from Duquesne University and a B.S. from Saint Bonaventure University. He lives in Missouri City, Texas.
