Beyond Meat begins direct-to-consumer sales with new e-commerce site

To make plant-based meat accessible to more consumers, Beyond Meat Inc. has launched a new e-commerce site for direct-to-consumer sales of trial packs, bulk packs and mixed-product bundles.  

Available for order in the contiguous United States, the online shop brings the plant-based meat directly to consumers, with 2-day shipping included on all orders.

At, consumers can choose from six different packages:

  • Go Beyond Trial Pack—Two 4-ouce Beyond Burgers patties, a 1-pound package of Beyond Beef, one package of Beyond Sausage Original Brat (four links) and one package of Classic Beyond Breakfast Sausage (six patties), $49.99.

  • Burgers & Beef Combo Pack—10 Beyond Burger patties and two 1-pound packages of Beyond Beef, $54.99.

  • Breakfast Sausage Variety Pack—One carton of 22 Classic Beyond Breakfast Sausages and carton of 22 Spicy Beyond Breakfast Sausages, $54.99.   

  • Cookout Classic—A limited edition package of two 10-count cartons of Cookout Classic burgers, available while supplies last, $54.99.

  • Brats & Beef Combo Pack—10 Beyond Sausage Original Brat links and two 1-pound packages of Beyond Beef, $59.99.

  • Beef Bulk Pack—Six 1-pound packages of Beyond Beef, $71.99.

The new DTC site complements the company’s retail presence in 26,000 retail outlets across the U.S., including Target, Walmart, Kroger, Safeway and Whole Foods, as well as club stores such as Costco, Sam’s Club and BJ’s Wholesale.

Beyond Meat was the best-selling refrigerated plant-based meat for the four weeks ending July 12, according to the market research firm SPINS.

Earlier this month, Beyond Meat reported second-quarter net revenue of $113.3 million, an increase of 69% from the previous year. Retail sales accounted for 88% of that revenue as restaurants were shuttered because of the coronavirus pandemic, CEO Ethan Brown said on Aug. 4.

Aligning with Beyond Meat’s commitment to sustainability, each order is packaged in a recyclable, insulated shipping box and shipped via UPS' carbon neutral shipping. Through this program, UPS supports wastewater treatment and landfill gas capture projects that offset projected emissions from the shipment.

Beyond Meat products are made with simple, plant-based ingredients with no GMOs or artificially produced ingredients.

Recently, a clinical study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition found that consuming plant-based meat alternatives instead of traditional red meat can lower the risk of some cardiovascular diseases. The small study used Beyond Meat products and was funded by Beyond Meat, but the company did not design or conduct the study or participate in the data analysis, according to a press release from Stanford University.

Earlier this month Beyond Meat launched a new movement, “What If We All Go Beyond?”, built on the idea that collective actions— big and small—can change people’s health and the health of the planet.
