Los Angeles-based Soft Gel Technologies Inc. was awarded U.S. Patent No. 6,784,206 for its GlucoTrim soft-gelatin capsule formulation. GlucoTrim is a standardized extract of banaba leaf (Lagerstroemia speciosa L.) This patent follows previous patents awarded to SGTI for CoQsol, Injuv and Isomer E.

Salt Lake City, Utah-based Hero Nutritionals, maker of Yummi Bears, a children?s gummy vitamin line, has established a working relationship with Integrated Marketing Group, which will develop and execute an integrated marketing campaign that includes brand positioning, trade and consumer advertising, packaging design, collateral development and public relations.

Seventh Generation, a Burlington, Vt.-based producer of nontoxic household products, announced six new retail partnerships. Roche Bros., King?s, Heinen?s Fine Foods, D?Agostino?s, Albertson?s Northern California division and Fresh Direct (an online retailer) are the latest grocers to carry Seventh Generation?s cleaning and recycled paper products.
