Boulder, CO (April 28, 2011)See trends and traditions showcased at this year's Natural Products Association MarketPlace, the official tradeshow and conference of the Natural Products Association (NPA), produced in partnership with New Hope Natural Media. The show's mission is to connect people, products and knowledge within the business of natural products. NPA MarketPlace will be held June 23 – 25 in Las Vegas.

NPA will celebrate its 75th anniversary with special events and recognition with more than 5,000 attendees at Natural Products Association MarketPlace.

"The Natural Products Association is the leading industry voice in Washington, D.C.  NPA stands up for the rights of natural products companies by advocating balanced regulation, advising Congress on industry issues, and being a watchdog for threats to health freedom.  Attending NPA MarketPlace as a buyer, exhibitor or member of the media is an essential way to engage with NPA and the natural products industry," said John Gay, NPA executive director and CEO.

This year's program features:

  • Keynote Speaker Dr. Tieraona Low Dog, MD—A distinguished integrative and natural medicine practitioner in residence at The Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine and winner of the Natural Products Association's Burton Kallman Scientific Award, which recognizes individuals who have made outstanding scientific contributions benefiting the natural products industry.

  • Senator Tom Harkin (D-IA)—A longtime natural products industry advocate in Washington, D.C., discussing the current state of various healthy food and agriculture conservation efforts at this year's annual Saturday SuperSession.

  • A full docket of conference sessions falls in two sections—the Retail Series focused on strategy and efficiency in operating a successful retail establishment, and the Industry Series with sessions geared toward manufacturers, distributors and retailers providing up to the moment topics ranging from GMO's to advocacy.

The Natural Products Association MarketPlace show floor is where business opportunities are cultivated; with manufacturers and suppliers launching new products and brands, and natural retailers discovering these innovations, capitalizing on opportunities for their stores.  On  this year's tradeshow floor, the types of exhibits you'll find include new brand Dolphin Organics launching into natural personal care, KUR Organics taking hold of the superfood trend with new packaged goods, and Bluebonnet as a mainstay, who continues to develop the latest in supplements and nutrient delivery systems.
