The second day of the forthcoming 2008 Healthy Foods European Summit sees a major session
on new marketing and branding opportunities. The session will give insights into how to market to
future generations and what strategies manufacturers and ingredient suppliers should be looking
at to address the latest consumer demands

Lori Colman, founding partner and CEO of Chicago-based Colman Brohan Davis has been
instrumental in developing brand strategies and marketing initiatives for global companies in the
food manufacturing and food service sectors. She will be giving 20/20 insights into the 2020
consumer and providing advice on how to get ready to market to the YOUTUBE consumer.

Colman said;
“Consumer demand for natural foods and sustainable practices is already having a
profound impact on the food and ingredients industry – it’s a consumer controlled future
and if companies are not prepared they will be left behind. I will be looking at the latest
trends all along the whole food chain: (agri-chem suppliers, grain companies, growers,
food manufacturers and processors, food additive and ingredients companies, culinary
organisations and consumer food marketers) Plus I’ll be taking a forward look at
changing demographics and use of emerging technology that will be part of the 2020
customer landscape.

I hope I will be able to provide some good practical advice on how companies can begin
to start thinking about where they need to be in 2020 - whether supplying raw materials
or finished goods.”

In addition, in this section of the conference, Sigrid Kramer, Research Manager at Cognis will be
presenting the latest new ideas, innovations, future trends and concepts in beauty foods– both
inside out and outside in.

in Health and Wellness, plus successful strategies for targeting brands to address the new
benefits demanded by today’s consumers.

scientific development, hot new innovations, management and mergers and acquisitions. There
will also be two Davos-style debates addressing issues in the areas of the future of food
production and how industrial food processes can create unhealthy foods.
