When Target launched its Made to Matter—Handpicked by Target program in 2014, its focus was on building strong partnerships with purpose-driven brands in the wellness space and bringing these brands' natural, organic and sustainable products to the aisles of Target. This year, the national retailer has required that each of its participating brands go one step further to meet at least one of the following criteria:

  • Reduced waste and packaging.

  • Closed loop systems, where the excess of one process or product is used to make another product.

  • Clean labels without additives or harsh chemicals.

  • Dietary and allergen restriction friendliness.

  • Reduced sugar.

This year, 20 brands rose to the occasion with some 100 new and innovative products spanning the food, baby, beauty and household categories. Meet them—and their new product offerings—here.
