Lawmakers on Capitol Hill will soon receive a flurry of phone calls from Organic Summit attendees requesting support for organic agriculture. Part of the programming this year is an interactive session that teaches organic advocates who to call on the Hill and what to say.
Experienced advocates may learn new tips as well, as we all pick up our cellphones in unison and call members of the House and Senate Agriculture committees.
Attendees will receive a short script, and those who are unable to attend the summit this year can still participate in the flash phone mob from anywhere by visiting TheOrganicSummit.com to obtain the phone script.
As a retailer, this is your opportunity to join members of the organic supply chain to make your voice heard and speak on behalf of your shoppers. Are your customers demanding more organic produce selection? Do they ask for genetically modified organism labeling? Do they want to know where their food comes from?
Visit TheOrganicSummit.com for more information.
