Partake Foods opens registration for Black Futures in Food & Beverage fellowship program

The allergy-friendly food company invites active HBCU juniors and above interested in a future career in the food and beverage industry to apply.

Partake Foods, the allergy-friendly and gluten-free food company, is thrilled to today announce the opening of registration for their Black Futures in Food & Beverage (Black Futures) fellowship program. Created and launched in 2020 by Partake Foods’ founder and CEO, Denise Woodard, Black Futures seeks to increase representation and open doors for Black students interested in exploring career paths in consumer packaged goods.

The Fall 2021 program will take place virtually over seven weeks starting Oct. 5, 2021, and will provide the opportunity for fellows to engage in workshops, fireside chats, panels, and conversations with some of the food and beverage industry’s most impactful leaders. Over the course of the program, students will work on a capstone project that will advance their consideration for 2022 spring or summer internships and full-time roles at leading CPG food and beverage companies.

“People of color are largely underrepresented in leadership roles within the CPG food and beverage industry,” said Partake Foods Founder and CEO Denise Woodard. “Being the first woman of color to raise $1 million for a CPG packaged food startup is an accomplishment, but it’s one that comes with a great responsibility to increase the number and quality of career opportunities for Black and Brown people seeking to build their careers in the industry.”

Eligible and interested students can enroll in the Black Futures in Food & Beverage program now until Sept. 3, 2021, on To be eligible, students must be actively enrolled as a junior or above and need to attend a Historically Black College or University (HBCU).
