Millennials are prime targets for prepared food offerings

Good news for grocers who have invested in hearty grab-and-go, meal kit or foodservice offerings: a majority of millennials are making prepared deli food, carry-out, delivery or fast food purchases each week.

Millennials as a whole spend less time preparing food than older generations and spend a greater portion of their food budgets on prepared foods, according to a recent report from Alliance Bernstein. See more stats in the infographic below.
