In 2013, U.S. sales of probiotic supplements jumped 23 percent to $1.2 billion, according to Nutrition Business Journal estimates. Over the past decade, the beneficial bacteria ingredient has enjoyed tremendous growth, averaging a CAGR of 21 percent over the time period, according to NBJ .
