Savory snacks with plant-forward ingredients and globally inspired flavor profiles were on display throughout the show floor in Philadelphia. Among the most innovative of these convenient, plant-based snacks were those featuring popped water lily seeds, mushroom jerky, plant-powered protein and seaweed in an innovative, reduced-packaging format that replaces the classic plastic tray.
Ayurvedic spices, five-spice powder and Japanese red miso powder were some of the seasonings brands used to create a variety of herb and spice combinations inspired by different cultures and presented in a wide range of plant-forward snacking formats.
