New Hope Network's Newtopia Now: A reimagined event for the conscious CPG industry

For nearly 50 years, New Hope Network has navigated the dynamic landscape of CPG, media, and events—industries constantly reshaped by consumer trends, economic and marketplace shifts and technological advancements. (Indeed, there is never a dull moment!) Yet amidst this ongoing evolution, the fundamentals of human connection, purpose and transparency remain core to the future of these industries. 

As part of a community deeply invested in the agility, values and innovation of the natural and organic products world, New Hope Network has reimagined how to facilitate connections and further fuel this industry’s success. The result is a blend of forward-looking technology and event concepts; unique, high-value content; and meaningful, connection-driven experiences. At the most basic level, we developed Newtopia Now to connect brands and retailers in meaningful, authentic ways so they can truly understand one another and unlock mutual success.

With a launch date and location in place, we’ve had the opportunity to discuss and hone the concept with our community. When we recently shared the vision on INFRA's The Buyer's Desk podcast, INFRA Director of Member Programs Angela Bozo aptly compared our approach to how retailers curate and merchandise their selections. “Now you are innovating in order to show off additional innovation, which is really interesting and meta,” she said. “I’m also hearing things a buyer would say, like ‘we’re going to curate and get the right things to the right people.’"

Building the future of CPG together

We're confident ushering in this new era of events thanks to amazing early partners like INFRA, along with Startup CPG, Naturally Network, Project Potluck, OTA, Adult Non-Alcoholic Beverage Association and so many others who are all in on Newtopia Now, even in its earliest days. Plus, there is the range of retailers who have already committed to sharing their vision on our stages and discovering their next best-selling products on the show floor—Whole Foods, Thrive Market, Fresh Thyme, The Vitamin Shoppe and more.

Here’s what you can expect from Newtopia Now: 

  • All things Denver—A natural products hub! We're thrilled to host the event in Colorado, New Hope Network's home state. It’s the birthplace of industry pioneers like Celestial Seasonings and White Wave, along with the first Naturally Network chapter, Naturally Boulder. Plus, Colorado has been a magnet for mission-driven entrepreneurs, investors, sustainable agriculture resources and farm-to-table chefs. In a nutshell, Colorado embodies the past, present, and future of conscious products.

  • Deeper connections for brands and buyers—We designed Newtopia Now based on buyers’ input, putting connection at the center of the experience. For buyers, discovering new products (68%) and building relationships (51%) were top priorities in a survey we conducted last year. We want to create an experience that creatively addresses these two priorities.

  • Advanced matchmaking and experiential networking—Events such as Denver Dine Arounds and Colorado-themed activities (hello, Red Rocks and Meow Wolf!) foster meaningful and enjoyable connections. Our conscious connections matchmaking makes it easier than ever to meet with the right brands and retailers in a thoughtful format.

  • Brand booth and activation packages—Increased accessibility for companies to tell their stories, educate attendees on their missions, showcase products and engage with retailers beyond their booths.

  • Content tailored for success—Brands gain insights from industry leaders, such as Whole Foods, Fresh Thyme and INFRA members through our “Buyerside Chat” series. Plus, buyers can attend workshops on future retail trends and store differentiation. All content is focused on strengthening the partnerships with people and companies you discover at Newtopia Now and Natural Products Expo West. 

  • A seamless integration of discovery, connection and content—At Newtopia Now, community is paramount. Every participant is invited to co-create the CPG future we envision. This spirit is reflected in the unique layout of our show floor and the various activations and events seamlessly integrated throughout the week.

  • The Newtopia Now Market—This new showcase is organized by store category and resembles a captivating retail environment, allowing buyers to scan items for details, consume data and trends content and navigate the show floor with intention. 

  • Four distinct "neighborhoods" on the show floor—Thrive, Regenerate, Represent and Glow offer innovative booths, dynamic stages, interactive digital content, food demos, a clean beauty salon, non-alcoholic bar and more, to create engaging and fully unique connection points.
