Probiotics proliferate at Expo East 2015

Probiotics are strains of healthful bacteria that are beneficial to digestive systems. Though the research is still young, many product manufacturers are capitalizing on the claim that probiotics help restore good bacteria in the gut and help lower the amount of "bad" bacteria in human guts that can lead to weakened immunity and disease. At Natural Products Expo East 2015, probiotics were spotted in buttery spread, natural juices, convenience items and more.

Here, Delicious Living Editor-In-Chief Jessie Shafer and Senior Food Editor Jenna Blumenfeld share some of their probiotic picks.
