Free AF launches non-alcoholic Sparkling Rosé into Sprouts Farmers Market

The launch of non-alcoholic Sparkling Rosé into Sprouts Farmers Market nationwide represents the latest innovation from Free AF, one of the fastest growing alcohol-free brands in the U.S.

Non-alcoholic beverage brand Free AF, which is known for its popular range of non-alcoholic cocktails, is pleased to announce the launch of its first non-alcoholic sparkling wine.

Free AF Sparkling Rosé is a ready-to-drink, non-alcoholic sparkling wine which was created to match the crisp and light taste profile of a dry sparkling rosé with fragrant, fruity and floral undertones. Unlike other non-alcoholic wines on the market, Free AF’s Sparkling Rosé is crafted differently.

“This is because most non-alc wines available on the market have been de-alcoholized, which means they have been made the traditional way, with alcohol, and this has later been removed either by gentle heating, or in some cases spinning the wine,” says Lisa King, founder of Free AF.

“Having tried many of the non-alc wines from around the world, we found the removal of alcohol changes the wine’s overall body and profile. This results in the end product tasting either like vinegar; or a super sweet grape juice, as the natural flavours are replaced by lots of sugar.”

“As with our cocktails, when developing our Sparkling Rosé, we knew we could achieve a better-tasting non-alcoholic wine and flavor profile by not going through the traditional dealcoholized process.”

“We use natural flavors technology to achieve the fullness and complexity of flavors you’d expect from a Rosé. Using this approach, we also lower the amount of sugar in our Sparkling Rosé to just four per cent.”

“When the end taste profile is then combined with Afterglow™*, our 100% natural botanical extract that mimics the pleasant warmth of alcohol (without the alcohol), you get a crisp, dry sparkling rosé.”

“We can’t wait to hear what our customers think and look forward to raising our glasses together with them.”

Free AF’s new AF Sparkling Rosé is available to purchase exclusively in Sprouts Farmers Market from early January.

*Afterglow™ - One of the missing ingredients in most non-alcoholic beverages is the pleasant warmth that comes from sipping on a glass of wine or a boozy cocktail.

That small sensory effect is a crucial complement to the complex, nuanced flavors that appear in adult drinks – one which we saw as important to creating an experience that would truly satisfy our drinkers. So when we were developing our drinks, we found an alcohol free way to create the same effect.

Exactly what it is will remain a secret – but rest assured that it’s 100% natural, gluten-free and vegetarian. And the only place you’ll find Afterglow™ is in Free AF Drinks.
