Your secret weapon to weight loss could simply be upping your intake of two important supplements, calcium and vitamin D, according to a new study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition.

The study showed that adults with an average age of 52 years old taking 580 mg calcium daily and having vitamin D blood levels of 30.2 ng/mL (remember, a simple blood test can determine if you're in the range) lost an average of 5.3 kg over two years.

These findings support Vitamin D and Calcium: A Dynamic Duo for Women's Health, which not only touted this combination for its weight loss effects, but also for its bone health and breast cancer prevention benefits.
