Nutrition Capital Network (NCN), the leading global gateway for connections between investors and companies in the nutrition and health and wellness industry, is hosting its second European investor meeting on Monday, May 4, 2015 in Geneva, Switzerland. NCN Europe II will be held in association with Vitafoods Europe on Monday, May 4, 2015, from 12:00 to 18:00 at Palexpo in Geneva, Switzerland , immediately prior to the Vitafoods Europe exhibition and conference on May 5 to 7, 2015.
“With few such investment networking events available in Europe, NCN's collegial approach to networking and connecting investors with companies was warmly received at its first European investor meeting last year, and we are looking forward to hosting our second European meeting immediately prior to the 2015 Vitafoods tradeshow, ” said Grant Ferrier, president of NCN. “With investors from the world’s leading food, pharma, consumer product and ingredient companies, in addition to private equity and venture firms focused on health and wellness, NCN presenters have access to a motivated group well versed in their industry.”

Since being founded in 2007, NCN has hosted 23 investor meetings in the United States and established a successful track record of matching growth companies and technology innovators with investors, acquirers and strategic partners: Fifty nine percent (59 percent) or 190 out of 360 companies that presented at NCN investor meetings between 2007 and 2013 have raised capital or completed some sort of transaction.
About the meeting: Like NCN's annual half day meeting in Las Vegas, now in its seventh year, NCN Europe II focuses primarily on science, ingredients and technology related to nutrition and health and wellness. Finished product companies in consumer health, supplements or functional and natural and organic foods will also be considered as presenters. Presenting companies will be seeking investment, acquisition, or corporate partnerships for technology development, commercialization, clinical trials, distribution or licensing. Between 8 and 12 companies will present their business to an audience of 30 to 40 investors, with two to three hours set aside for one-on-one meetings scheduled on site after the presentations.
Companies apply now: Successful applicants will be mentored by NCN Principals and members of the NCN Selection Committee. “Space is limited, so we encourage companies to apply early,” said Ferrier. “Early application also ensures ample time for coaching and preparation.”
Applying is free, but accepted presenters pay a €1,000 fee that includes business plan and presentation review by NCN selection committee mentors, introduction to key investors and multiple attendees at the meeting, and follow up. Deadline for applications: March 31, 2015.

NCN Cornerstone Investors sponsoring NCN Europe include Abbott Labs, DSM, Herbalife, Kerry Group, Seventure and Tate & Lyle Ventures. NCN Cornerstone Investors will co-host a cocktail reception immediately following the 12 to 6 p.m. May 4 meeting.
