In a fall promotion, Natural Grocers has launched a game that offers extra rewards to members of its {N}power loyalty program who buy store-brand products.

Called Autumn Scavenger Hunt, the game gives {N}power members a $2 reward for purchasing Natural Grocers-brand items from three product categories or a $5 reward for purchasing from five categories, the Lakewood, Colorado-based specialty grocer said yesterday. Product categories for the game include grocery, refrigerated and frozen, bulk, supplements and cleaning.

Under the promotion, {N}power customers earn a $2 reward for purchasing Natural Grocers-brand items from three product categories or a $5 reward for purchasing from five categories.

The Autumn Scavenger Hunt runs through October. Customers earning rewards can redeem them from Nov. 4 to 17.

“Over the past few years, we have greatly expanded our in-house label with a variety of delicious and healthy products, and we enjoy coming up with creative and interactive ways for our customers to discover their new favorite items,” Raquel Isely, vice president of marketing at Natural Grocers, said in a statement. “We had a lot of engagement during our first spring scavenger hunt earlier this year, and new to our fall program we’ve made it even easier to earn rewards. We look forward to seeing which new products people want to try during the Autumn Scavenger Hunt.”

Natural Grocers introduced its store brand in September 2018 with the debut of 35 products in 10 categories, including grocery, dairy and frozen. The premium-quality line, which the retailer touts as offering “Always Affordable” prices, now encompasses more than 750 products, with new items such as frozen spiral organic vegetables and sides, jarred organic Greek olives, organic Modena balsamic vinegar, castille soap, laundry detergent and baking mixes.

This past April, Natural Grocers also added more vitamins and supplements to its store-brand roster, and the chain now offers a selection of more than 140 items.

Overall, Natural Grocers’ retail network includes 162 natural and organic grocery stores in 20 states. The chain’s latest store opened last week in Springfield, Missouri, its seventh location in Missouri.
