Ethical Naturals joins UNPA

The United Natural Products Alliance (UNPA), an international alliance of forward-looking companies dedicated to providing consumers with natural health products of superior quality, benefit and reliability, is pleased to welcome Ethical Naturals Inc. to its growing membership.

Ethical Naturals, based in San Anselmo, Calif., is a supplier of premium botanical extracts and raw materials to the United States and overseas supplement markets. The company’s products include mainstream extracts, such as ginkgo biloba, bilberry, grape seed and resveratrol, as well as a number of proprietary ingredients, such as GreenGrown® vegetable-source glucosamine, AlphaWave® L-Theanine and Non-GMO Vitamin C.

Over the years, Ethical Naturals has established one of the most respected U.S.-based quality assurance testing programs and has done extensive work in developing methods to identify adulterants found in the botanical extract supply chain.

"Ethical Naturals’ President Cal Bewicke is a highly respected industry veteran, and we are honored to have him and his organization join the UNPA family,” said Loren Israelsen, UNPA president. “We look forward to tapping Ethical Naturals’ vast expertise to help us pursue our ongoing goal of supporting safety, science and quality in natural products."

“More than any other trade association, UNPA works every day to improve the climate in our industry through its commitment to educational programs and quality assurance issues and its work on ongoing legislation,” said Bewicke. “These powerful, ethical commitments closely parallel the direction of the course we steer and the goals we are trying to achieve at Ethical Naturals.

“We very much look forward to being a part of the UNPA group, interacting with the other members, contributing where we can and sharing in the achievements of the association,” Bewicke added.
