FDA issues request for information and draft guidance on fiber on nutrition facts label

In its final rule on nutrition labeling requirements published earlier this year, the FDA will allow only naturally occurring fibers to be declared under the "dietary fiber" label. Scientists have recognized that cows produce major amounts of greenhouse gases, and some are targeting them as way to curb climate change.
