OmniActive Health Technologies announced that it has acquired 85 percent stake, and has entered into definitive agreements to acquire the balance stake, in Bangalore-based Indfrag. This is in line with OmniActive’s program to create global partnerships which help expand the portfolio of high-quality, authenticated ingredients for the dietary supplement and functional food industries. Indfrag has established a significant presence in the international market as a leading supplier of botanical and plant extracts from India and South East Asia for the dietary supplement and nutraceuticals industry.

As a continuation of its support for sustainable, organic farming globally, Lundberg Family Farm is working with a network of small farms in Thailand to bring organic, fair trade Thai Hom Mali Jasmine Rice to the United States. It features an aromatic fragrance, slightly sweet flavor and softer, fluffier texture unique to rice grown in Thailand and is available in four pre-cooked pouch offerings: white, red, red and white blend, and brown.

Coromega launched a new supplement in partnership with Women's Health magazine. Women's Health Omega-3 Fish Oil + D Tropical Orange Squeeze Shots and Women's Health Omega-3 Fish Oil Orange Chocolate Squeeze Shots provide 650 mg of omega-3s in a single-serve pouch.

TerraVia, a plant-based food, nutrition and specialty ingredients company, announced that Health Canada has issued an approval for its Whole Algal Protein ingredient for food use in Canada. With this approval, TerraVia has successfully achieved regulatory approval for its portfolio of AlgaVia Whole Algae Ingredients, including AlgaVia Whole Algal Protein and AlgaVia Whole Algal Flour, for food use across North America.
