Biova LLC, the global leader in water-soluble egg membrane (WSEM), announces new executive leadership: Matt Stegenga, current director of marketing for Biova, has been named president. He succeeds Dennis Casey, PhD, who will continue with Biova as a member of its board of directors.

“With more than 10 years of experience working with egg membrane, nobody knows this technology and the market better than Matt,” said Casey. Stegenga will continue Biova’s global market development, focusing on expanding applications for Biova’s patented technologies and branded ingredients.

Biova also introduces Dr. Craig Rowles, who joins Biova in January as chief operating officer overseeing multiple operations in Iowa and Kansas. With 30 years of experience, Dr. Rowles will also direct Biova’s special research and development initiatives, aimed at expanding market applications for Hydro5™, OvaPure™, Ovacore™ and other nascent technologies.
