GoodBelly hires VP of sales

GoodBelly, a line of delicious probiotic juice beverages formulated for daily digestive health, announced the addition of James Moss as vice president of sales. With extensive management experience in the consumer packaged goods space, Moss will oversee all sales activities and lead relationships with key retailers, brokers and distributors.

“James’ industry expertise in the CPG space made him an attractive candidate to lead GoodBelly’s sales efforts,” said Alan Murray, CEO of GoodBelly. “We’re impressed with his considerable management and leadership background, and are confident that it will complement the aggressive growth path we’ve outlined for 2014 and beyond.”

Moss brings a wealth of experience in the consumer packaged goods space to his new role at GoodBelly, having held various management positions at both domestic and international companies. Prior to joining GoodBelly, Moss was responsible for the consumer packaged goods and private equity divisions of Buxton Company, a consumer analytics and insights firm. Prior to that, Moss served as vice president of marketing services at CROSSMARK, a leading CPG broker. Moss has also held various management positions within GlaxoSmithKline and Cadbury Schweppes, brands of the Dr. Pepper Snapple Group.

GoodBelly’s probiotic juice drinks are non-GMO, dairy-free, soy-free, vegan and kosher, with several new gluten free options, including Carrot Ginger, Tropical Orange and Fermented Probiotic Coconut Water. Each serving of GoodBelly is infused with 10-50 billion cultures of the probiotic strain, Lactobacillus plantarum299v (LP299V®), which promotes daily digestive health. Unlike many other live and active cultures, LP299V® survives passage beyond the stomach’s acidic environment in order to support the rest of the digestive system.
