Health Warrior raises $3.3 million in Series B

NCN XIII presenting company Health Warrior raised $3.3 million in a Series B round of venture funding led by New Richmond Ventures, and joined by NFL players Arian Foster of the Houston Texans, EJ Manuel of the Buffalo Bills and Glover Quin of the Detroit Lions, as well as Mark Teixeira of the New York Yankees.

Health Warrior makes Chia Bar Super Snacks, a brand of health bars, and sells packaged, premium Chia seeds. Health Warrior products are sold in more 4,000 stores including Rainbow Grocery in San Francisco, the Fairway markets in New York City, and chains like Whole Foods, Target and various supermarkets owned by Ahold USA, including Stop & Shop. Earlier, the company raised $2.2 million in Series A funding and a $2 million round of angel funding from friends and family.
