White House reviewing CBD research guidance

The Food and Drug Administration submitted draft guidance on a federal plan for CBD and marijuana research to the White House Office of Management and Budget for input. It is not clear how long the review will take. Read more at Boston Globe

Brand collaborative toxicity study slated for summer

A third-party study examining CBD’s effects on the liver—designed to gather data that the USDA requires to develop regulation—is set to begin in July. The protocol for the study was developed with significant feedback from the FDA’s working group focused on CBD. Learn more at Hemp Industry Daily

Industry transparency improving, says study

A recent study by the peer-reviewed CBD educational platform LeafReport.com found that a majority of the 37 CBD products tested contained levels of CBD that were within 10% of what was stated on the label. Learn more at Yahoo Finance
