The Process Systems Business Unit of Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics (SGPPL), a leading manufacturer of tubing and connections for food processing, transfer and dispensing applications, presented its full range of solutions at IFT13. These solutions provide of uniquely engineered properties for processors seeking to improve or ensure sustainability, food safety, efficiency and product integrity.

To meet these demands, Saint-Gobain showcased a sampling of its safe, smart and sustainable solutions food, beverage and dairy transfer and dispensing applications at IFT 13.
Featured solutions included, Tygon S3™ B-44-3. From the recently launched Tygon S3 range of bio-based, phthalate-free tubing solutions, Tygon S3 B-44-3 is a clear-as-glass tube that allows easy visual monitoring of flow. It is light-weight and flexible to allow for quick installation and its non-wetting properties enable easy cleaning and complete drainage. Tygon S3 solutions are the first non-phthalate solutions to offer the level of taste-free, odor-free, clarity and product consistency synonymous with the Tygon® brand.
Also on display was Tygon S3 E-LFL, a tubing system with exceptional wear properties such as low particulate spallation, broad chemical resistance, and long flex life compared to traditional clear tubing. Meeting USP class VI and ISO 10993 criteria, applications of Tygon E-LFL include filtration and fermentation, surfactant delivery, highly vicious fluid transfer, flavor and vitamin concentrate dispensing, as well as share-sensitive fluid transfer.
Saint-Gobain also highlighted its Norprene® Food Process Tubing Formulation A-60-F and Versilic® SPX-50, both designed for demanding the requirements of food processing and consistently produce reliable results. These technologies withstand high temperatures, resist cracking, and offer high flexural fatigue during food and beverage processing applications including hot beverage dispensing.
