Usually I'm not a big fan of frozen meals, but sometimes when things are particularly busy at home or work, a frozen entree is exactly what I need. Now I've found some I can eat with real pleasure: Organic Bistro and Helen's Kitchen frozen single-serving entrees. (Both are produced by Food Collective Inc.) These frozen-food triumphs are certified organic and made with delicious, nutrient-rich ingredients. Helen's are all vegetarian or vegan and many are gluten-free, while Organic Bistro's are all gluten free and feature sustainably farmed and fished meats. They don't contain anything artificial and are even low in sodium. And the taste: Wow. I love Organic Bistro's wild salmon entree, and Helen's Kitchen's Thai Red Curry with tofu. They run about $6.50 each ... less than I pay for a grab-and-go sandwich from the nearby deli. Chalk me up as a convert to good frozen food.
