I recently blogged about a Nielsen report, which found that 46 percent of American households are eating out less. Instead, these consumers are hitting grocery stores for food to prepare at home.
But what if more grocery stores offer dining on the premises? Might this be the best of both worlds -- convenience and cash savings? Let's say it's the Monday after a full weekend that left no time to shop. That customer can stop by the grocery store after work, pick up supplies for the next week of homemade meals and eat today's dinner while in the store.
If you want to capitalize on the store-restaurant trend, check out Bon Appetit magazine's favorite dining spots in stores. The picks are located across the U.S., so stop by one or more for inspiration.
And share your in-store dining tips for success below. What do you do and why does it work?
