Rebbl, maker of organic super-herb powered coconut-milk elixirs and proteins, announced it has closed a $10 million investment that will allow it to expand marketing efforts and bring the benefits of super-herbs to more people. The round, led by Boulder Investment Group Reprise, included Powerplant Ventures LP and individual investor John Foraker, president of Annie's Homegrown.

Duane Primozich, managing partner at BIGR and a Rebbl board member, said, "We're thrilled by the opportunity to partner with Rebbl. It is an exceptional brand with fantastic products, talented and experienced management, and a truly authentic mission." BIGR is an investment group formed by Primozich and Carole Buyers, both industry veterans, and Bill Weiland, founder of Presence Marketing.

Sheryl O'Loughlin, CEO of Rebbl, said, "This round is exciting because it allows Rebbl to leverage the momentum of our growth and expand more rapidly. I am so humbled to have some of the best and brightest leaders in the natural food and beverage industry supporting our company."

This round follows a $4 million investment closed in late 2015 led by Mark Rampolla, cofounder and managing partner of Powerplant Ventures and a member of Rebbl's board.

Rebbl has more than doubled in revenue in 2016, ranking as the No. 1 functional beverage sold in natural grocery stores nationwide, according to data from SPINS. Its super-herb powered coconut-milk elixirs are sold in over 2,500 stores. In 2016, Rebbl launched a new line of plant-based protein drinks that are being expanded nationwide after a successful test market and already ranking in the top five of Rebbl's flavor line-up.

All Rebbl drinks include adaptogenic herbs such as ashwagandha, which is backed by clinical studies that demonstrate it helps the body adapt to stress. Topping the list of 2016 wellness trends from multiple sources, adaptogens are on the rise as "stress fighting super-herbs," making headlines for their ability to address modern day stressors and help improve myriad issues related to health and beauty. Every bottle of Rebbl is certified organic, vegan, soy and dairy free.
