Morristown, N.J.-based P.L. Thomas announced it will represent Ganeden Biotech and its probiotic product Ganeden BC30 to the food and beverage industries.

Watsonville, Calif.-based Nordic Naturals announced the five retail winners of its Golden Cod Experience contest: Good Nutrition in Duluth, Ga.; Coborn's Natural Foods in Sartell, Minn.; Basic Foods in Beaumont, Texas; Nature's General Store in Bend, Ore.; and Fabulous Foods in Crozet, Va. A representative and guest from each store will be flown to California for a three-night stay, including a banquet, tour of the Monterey Bay Aquarium and Research Institute and a VIP tour of the company's headquarters.

Aurora Organic Dairy, based in Boulder, Colo., announced an initiative with the University of Michigan to measure and reduce the company's carbon footprint across the entire product lifecycle, from cattle feed to cartons in retail dairy cases. The research will be funded by the newly established Aurora Organic Dairy Foundation.

Simi Valley, Calif.-based personal care manufacturer derma e announced it will donate 1 percent of profits from its new Organic Expressions skin care line to The Paraguay Project, a charitable program created to empower the people of Paraguay by supporting fair trade and helping to establish unique economic opportunities.

Los Angeles-based Noah's Naturals is restructuring and repositioning its three existing brands: It's All Good, Honest to Goodness and Health Thyself. Beginning this month, Honest to Goodness will be repackaged and rebranded as Noah's Naturals. It's All Good products will still be available, but exclusively at

Green Bay, Wis.-based manufacturer Enzymatic Therapy announced the launch of its new Web site exclusively for retailer ordering and information. The new site, is a one-stop shop for restocking supplements, product literature and sales-support news. New York-based Greyston Bakery recently released Do-Goodie Brownies. All profits from the brownies will benefit the Greyston Foundation's child care, health care, job, housing and education programs for the underprivileged.

Good Housekeeping magazine awarded first place to Burlington, Vt.-based Lake Champlain Chocolates in a competition for the best-tasting hot chocolate. The winning product was Old World Drinking Chocolate.

Martin Preferred Foods selected Sweet Leaf Tea, based in Austin, Texas, as Manufacturer of the Year. Sweet Leaf Tea sold 1.5 million cases in 2007 and was selected for the award based on outstanding promotions, sales rapport and client interaction.

North Bergen, N.J.-based The Vitamin Shoppe is the new program partner of the TV series "Alive & Well" with Michelle Harris. The health-oriented TV series will promote Vitamin Shoppe products along with those of Garden of Life, Natrol, Twinlab, Dr. Weil and Essential Formulas.

The Natural Products Association will host its 11th annual lobbying event in Washington, D.C., on April 8. Two hundred members of the NPA attended last year's event to lobby Congress about the role of natural products and dietary supplements in keeping Americans healthy.
