Clay Ryon was named business manager for Albert's Organics Source division, which purchases organic produce. Ryon was previously quality control manager at Albert's Bridgeport, N.J., distribution center.

Scott Pendleton, previously of Atlas Cold Storage, is the company's new logistics manager for its Midwest division.

James Day is now sales manager of Albert's Organics Twin Cities division.

Kemper, Heather, Liz and Zephyr Isely, the management team at Vitamin Cottage in Lakewood, Colo.

Lakewood, Colo.-based Vitamin Cottage Vice President Elizabeth Isely, Vice President and Secretary Heather Isely, and Co-Presidents Kemper and Zephyr Isely received the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2006 award in the retail and consumer services category for the Rocky Mountain region.

In the Utah region, Albion Advanced Nutrition President Dr. H. DeWayne Ashmead received the award in the health sciences and services category. Ernst & Young also awarded Sweet Leaf Tea Founder Clayton Christopher Entrepreneur of the Year 2006 for the Austin, Texas, region.

Minneapolis-based MusicMatters, co-organizers of the Go Organic! for Earth Day campaign and the Organic and Natural Experience tour, hired Scott Silverman as the Go Organic! retail manager. He will also be responsible for business development for MusicMatters. Silverman, who has been in the natural and organic products industry since 1991, was previously chief operating officer of Jungle Products Inc. and organic program manager for New Hope Natural Media.

Los Angeles-based Soft Gel Technologies Inc. named Pamela Howard West Coast regional sales manager and Brandon Nomura territory manager.

InterHealth Nutraceuticals of Benicia, Calif., promoted Darryl Mircheff to vice president of international sales.

Napa, Calif.-based Annie's Naturals named Aimee Sands its new public relations manager. Sands was previously with Target Corp. as a media relations specialist.

Keith Kersten was appointed chief executive of Grace's Kitchen, a Seattle manufacturer of natural frozen meals. Kersten was previously a consultant for Cargill Inc. and senior vice president of operations and equity partner at Byerly's Inc.

Mrs. Meyer's Clean Day, maker of household cleaning products, hired Tom Wittenberg as the new regional sales manager for the West Coast.

Dean Foods appointed Jack Callahan Jr. vice president and chief financial officer. Previously, Callahan served as senior vice president of corporate strategy and development at PepsiCo.

California Certified Organic Farmers announced that Jake Lewin, former director of marketing and international programs, will now be interim certification services director.

Chicago-based Chrysantis hired Philip Gowaski as sales and marketing manager. Gowaski was formerly with Glanbia Nutritionals.
