Albert's Organics, based in Vernon, Calif., appointed Kurt Luttecke as president. Luttecke was formerly vice president of meat, seafood and foodservice with Wild Oats Market and has more than 15 years' experience in the industry.

Albert's also promoted Mike Murphy to general manager for Albert's South. Murphy has been in the industry for almost 20 years, most recently as operations manager for Albert's South.

Danielle Schor was hired as senior vice president, food safety, for the International Food Information Council. Schor is a 25-year veteran of the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

Kutztown, Pa.-based Rodale Institute appointed Timothy LaSalle as chief executive officer. LaSalle has extensive executive experience with nonprofit organizations, including the Environmental Center of San Luis Obispo County and the Allan Savory Center for Holistic Management. He also served as president and CEO of the Agriculture Education Foundation.

Miller Brewing Co., based in Hood River, Ore., promoted Jennifer Gerrie to brand manager of its Henry Weinhard's line. Before joining Henry Weinhard, Gerrie held positions with The Coca-Cola Co. and Coca-Cola Enterprises as customer marketing manager and chain account manager.

Corrales, N.M.-based Tea Naturals Skin Care hired Thomas Molitor as national sales and marketing director. Molitor was most recently vice president of brand management for Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising.

Hain Pure Protein Corp., the Fredericksburg, Pa.-based processor and marketer of FreeBird all-natural chicken, promoted Ted Maguire to vice president of sales. Previously, he was director of new business development.

Penta Water Co., formerly BioHydration Research Labs, of Carlsbad, Calif., hired Dennis O'Brien as CEO. Former president and chief operating officer with ConAgra Foods, O'Brien brings to Penta more than 20 years of experience in the packaged food and beverage industry.

Richvale, Calif.-based Lundberg Family Farms appointed Nils-Michael Langenborg to the newly created position of vice president of marketing. Langenborg has more than 12 years of experience in the natural foods industry with such manufacturers as Straus Family Creamery, Spectrum Organic Products and Traditional Medicinals.

Snack-food company Corazonas Foods Inc. of Los Angeles appointed Joe Beauprez as vice president of marketing. Beauprez was most recently vice president of marketing at The Hain Celestial Group, responsible for the tea division.

Kennebunk, Maine-based Tom's of Maine appointed Barry Wilfand as director of health food and specialty channel. Wilfand has more than 20 years' experience with Tom's of Maine in various leadership positions.

Carla's Pasta of Windsor, Conn., hired Jack Dauray as director of sales and marketing. Dauray has more than 30 years of experience in the foodservice industry.

Gateway Nutrition Products, based in Everson, Wash., hired Rob Taskett as vice president of sales. Taskett has more than 17 years' sales management experience in consumer products and hard goods.

Orange, Calif.-based LifeTime Vitamins hired John Staley as national sales manager. Staley has more than 30 years of management, marketing and sales experience. Most recently he served for more than 10 years as vice president of marketing and
