Embria hires international business manager

Paul Faganel, president at Embria Health Sciences, the manufacturer of EpiCor® brand dried fermentate and other dietary ingredients, announced the hiring of Justin B. Green, Ph.D., as the company’s new international business manager.

Green brings 11 years of industry experience in various leadership roles within biotechnical research, global technical services and global product management. He joins from Kemin Industries, which manufactures more than 500 specialty health and nutrition ingredients found in products consumed by people and animals. Most recently, Justin held the role of global product manager at Kemin’s Food Technologies division, where some of his responsibilities included managing key global accounts, training distributor teams, and generating technical and marketing information. He received his B.A. in Biochemistry and Integrated Science at Northwestern University and his Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics at Columbia University. He then did postdoctoral research at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine.

The role of International Business Manager was established to take advantage of the considerable interest and opportunity for Embria’s ingredients to be successfully marketed worldwide. Green will report to Doug Reyes, Embria’s sales and marketing manager.

President Faganel states, “Our ingredients are natural, safe, effective and made in the USA in our NSF-certified cGMP manufacturing facility. EpiCor’s GRAS status as well as the NDI Notification on file with the FDA means it has withstood the rigor of regulatory review for safety. All of this makes EpiCor perfectly suited for global adaptation into nutritional products that help people live more healthy days. Justin’s technical, managerial and communication skills make him an excellent fit for this new, important role at Embria.”

Green began his new role at Embria on Jan. 5, 2015. He can be reached at [email protected].
