French Meadow Bakery™ Launches New Line of 'Living' Bread and Bagel Products

Inspired by a passion for creating purposeful, healthy baked goods French Meadow Bakery™ is introducing five new whole grain sprouted breads and bagels.

The new French Meadow Bakery products are:

The 100 percent flourless breads and bagels are made with six all natural grains and legumes; they are a complete protein with all nine essential amino acids, vegan, and trans fat free. The SRP is $4.99 for the breads and bagels.

Elizabeth Naffziger, Marketing Manager at French Meadow Bakery, said it is through the sprouting process that the grains in these breads and bagels become living, nutrient-rich foods.

“When grains and legumes are sprouted, an amazing thing happens – a complete protein is created and it’s easier for the body to digest,” she said. “These are baked goods that are good for your mind, body and soul. They are also very easy to incorporate into your daily diet.”

The sprouting process involves soaking the whole wheat berries in filtered water. When the whole wheat berries sprout, the excess water is drained and the “living sprouts” are ground into dough. It is during this unique process that enzymes are released from the germ of the grain, which aids in digestion of these products and allows the vital nutrients to be absorbed.
