NPA offers education, expanded exhibits at Expo West

Highlights include Natural Seal and GMP sessions.

The Natural Products Association (NPA) will feature popular education sessions and a larger exhibitor space at Natural Products Expo West. NPA kicks off the show with the newly updated Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) seminar for dietary supplement manufacturers on March 7 and 8. In addition, NPA will host an education session about Natural Seal certification for suppliers of personal care products on March 9. Sign up to attend at

NPA events at Expo West include:

  • What You Need to Know: How the FDA GMP Rule for Dietary Supplements Applies to You—March 7 and 8 at 8 a.m., Room 213A. NPA now offers a new format of two full days of comprehensive training, consisting of four half-day sessions. NPA expects that 2013 will bring a stricter level of GMP enforcement by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The best way to prepare for a likely 2013 FDA inspection is to attend an NPA GMP seminar. NPA members save up to $355 off the two-day seminar registration rate. Register at  
  • Know Natural: Formulation for the NPA Natural Standard—March 9 at 10 a.m., Room 213A. Now is the time to take natural products to the next level. Attend this technical session and learn exactly how to formulate products to achieve the NPA Natural Seal. Topics include which ingredients are allowed and which are prohibited and how a product can be certified natural. NPA members can attend free; non-members for just $99. Find out more at
  • NPA Member Advantage HQ—Hall A, Booth 10. NPA is expanding its trade show presence this year with the NPA Member Advantage HQ, which will feature four informational kiosks focused on NPA Membership, Advocacy, Certifications and Education, and Member Discounts.
