Baby Boom: Natural Infant-Care Products Ready for Growth Spurt

Nature’s Baby launches successfully; HBC companies test the water.

Overall growth in the $380 million U.S. baby care market last year was flat—just 0.1% for the 12 months ending April 18, according to Information Resources Inc. Companies marketing baby products featuring natural ingredients, however, are reporting healthy growth in their business. These companies are poised to shoot up, since the U.S. birth rate is predicted to increase over the next several years.
