AIBMR Life Sciences Expands to China and Hungary

Company Hires Liu, Appoints Istvan, to Oversee New International Offices

Puyallup, Wash., August 24, 2006 -- AIBMR Life Sciences, Inc., a full- service natural and medicinal products research institute, today announced the establishment of a China office near Shanghai and a European office based in Budapest, Hungary. Song Liu, Ph.D. has been hired as vice president for Asian regional affairs and will oversee the China office, while AIBMR-veteran Bara Istvan was promoted to the position of vice president for European regional affairs and will head up the Hungary office.

"I am very pleased to have two highly-competent individuals such as Dr. Liu and Mr. Istvan manage AIBMR's international bureaus," stated Alex Schauss, Ph.D., FACN, director of natural and medicinal products research for AIBMR Life Sciences, Inc. "As our company continues to grow internationally, it is crucial that we have professionals in place who have a working knowledge of how to manage these expanding markets."

Dr. Liu will oversee all aspects of the newly-created China office in Jiangsu, Suzhou near Shanghai. The China office will service clients throughout Asia, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand and the Philippines. Dr. Liu has extensive experience in nutraceutical product development and international regulatory affairs and is fluent in four languages. He holds a bachelor's degree in chemistry from the National Tsing-Hua University in Taiwan and earned his doctorate degree in Chemistry at the University of California, Irvine. Prior to joining AIBMR Life Sciences, Dr. Liu was the Director of the Program Office of Herbal Medicine for the Taiwan Ministry of Economic Affairs. He has been CEO of an Australian multi- national joint venture based in Taipei, Taiwan; and, a senior scientist for Suntek Bioscience in Brea, Calif.

Bara has been with AIBMR Life Sciences for nearly a decade. He has coordinated and supervised a wide range of studies for the company throughout Europe. Bara is also a highly-regarded journalist and photographer in Hungary. He was the director of Hungary's first daily business newspaper, director of a leading woman's magazine, and manager of Radio Juventus. He also served as the director of photojournalism for the Hungarian News Agency, where he has twice been honored with the Photo Reporter of the Year award. Bara graduated with distinction in international politics from the College of Politics in Budapest, Hungary.
