Ayala's Herbal Water wins Prevention magazine award

Prevention editors chose Ayala's from more than 500 contenders that passed nutritionists’ health test.

Sparkling Ayala’s Herbal Water was awarded a coveted Healthy Food Award from Prevention magazine, and was the only beverage to win this year’s prize. With more than 500 contenders to pass the nutritionists’ health test, the best products were selected by a comprehensive taste test, whose panelists suggested Herbal Water is the answer to calorie-packed soda and fruit juices.

“With a blend of tangy orange peel and spicy cinnamon, taking a sip of this beautifully bottled beverage gives you a spa-like experience even at your desk,” raved the editors, who were excited about the organic herbal flavors and the absence of calories, sweeteners and preservatives.

“We’re honored to be recognized by Prevention’s nutritionists and editors,” said pediatrician, cofounder and Herbal Water creator, Dr. Ayala Laufer-Cahana. “Sparkling Herbal Water was crafted as a healthy culinary delight, and it’s very rewarding to see that our drink is not only appreciated for its superior, refreshing, culinary-herb flavor profile, but that it’s becoming a great tool for people trying to rid themselves of the sugary drink habit.”

Sparkling Ayala’s Herbal Water joins Herbal Water’s still line of waters, and appeals to health enthusiasts and foodies searching for a sophisticated drink that is free of calories and delivers on the complex flavors of culinary herbs. Available in four refreshing varieties—Lemongrass Mint Vanilla, Cinnamon Orange Peel, Lavender Mint and Ginger Lemon Peel—Ayala’s Herbal Water is the first flavored water of its kind to bring an organic herb-infused sparkling water to the dining table. Herbal Water proudly carries the USDA organic seal, and is a delicious alternative to calorie-laden beverages and plain water options currently on the market. Sparkling Ayala’s Herbal Water is also the perfect alcohol-free companion to food for diners seeking a wine or cocktail substitute.

The Prevention Healthy Food Award joins a long list of rave reviews and awards; most recently, Ayala’s won Best New Beverage at the Kosherfest International Show, was picked as the No. 1 Flavored Water by Every Day with Rachael Ray magazine, won Self magazine’s 2011 Healthy Food Award, Natural Health magazine's 2011 Good Food Award, and was Good Housekeeping magazine’s Editor’s Pick for Best Flavored Water in 2010.
