Clinical Trial Results for New Weight Loss Formula Presented at FASEB

Lean System 7™ Weight Loss Formula Features 7-Keto™

Minneapolis, Minnesota, May 16, 2003 - Humanetics Corporation and Isatori Global Technologies announced that the results of a new clinical study, which was jointly sponsored by both companies, was presented at the meeting of the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology (FASEB). This annual meeting of professional research scientists was held in San Diego on April 11 - April 15, 2003 and had over 10,000 national and international attendees. The clinical study evaluated the effect of a new dietary supplement formulation that includes Humanetics' flagship ingredient, 7-Keto. 7-Keto, a naturally occurring substance that declines with age, has been the subject of two previous peer reviewed, published clinical studies that have shown it to be highly effective in reducing weight due to its thermogenic properties.

The abstract of the presentation was accepted by the American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics, Clinical Pharmacology division and has been published in the FASEB Journal, Volume 17, Number 4, March 14, 2003, LB468.

The results of the eight week study revealed that the group that received Lean System 7 had a significant reduction in body weight (p=0.001) and body mass index (BMI) (p=0.001), while the group that took the placebo did not. Total weight loss in the group receiving Lean System 7 ranged as high as 19.3lbs with the mean loss at 6.3lbs. Additionally, it was reported that the group taking Lean System 7 experienced an average reduction of 4.3 inches in total waist and hip circumference while the placebo group averaged 2.8 inches.

There were no significant changes in vital signs and no serious adverse events reported in the group taking Lean System 7. The study concluded that Lean System 7 is safe and has a side effect profile that is no different than a placebo.

The companies reported that a full length manuscript for this study will be submitted for publication in the peer-reviewed scientific literature.
