Guardino Joins Econugenics®

Experienced Mycologist & Plant Biologist to Direct Research and Development

SANTA ROSA, Calif., December 3, 2004 - EcoNugenics®, a premium dietary supplement and nutraceutical company, appointed John Guardino to the position of director of research and development.

"We look forward to having John direct clinical research, manage quality control and oversee customer technical support," stated Isaac Eliaz, M.D., M.S., L.Ac., chairman of EcoNugenics. "With over eleven years of research experience, John¹s strong roots in Mycology, Phytopathology, Plant Biology and Anthropology will only broaden the ever-expanding scope of EcoNugenics¹ expertise."

Prior to joining EcoNugenics, Guardino served as staff mycologist and manufacturing supervisor for an exotic mushroom and nutraceutical company in Northern California. He was also senior research technologist for a key research center at Pennsylvania State University where he conducted extensive research on the biology, genetics and molecular evolution of toxigenic fungi. Guardino earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology at Indiana University of Pennsylvania in Indiana, Pa. He received his Master of Science degree in Phytopathology from Pennsylvania State University.
