Omega NHP Health Canada License Issued

Murray A. Persicke, President of Omega Biotech Corporation, announces today that Omega has been issued their Site License Number 300212. Under Health Canada’s Natural Health Products (NHP) Directorate, Omega meets the new Health Canada regulations to manufacture its high grade grape seed extract under the name of Protovin™ for its domestic and international markets.

Canadian manufacturers’ of natural health products, effective January 1, 2006, are required to be licensed under by Canadian legislation under the NHP Directorate. This licensing also certifies Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to the NHP licensees. Cost to Omega for securing its licensing is estimated at $525,000 CAD, taking one year to obtain.

This new NHP barrier to entry in the Canadian Natural Health and Wellness market place offers Omega a unique competitive advantage in the production of it Super Antioxidant product Protovin™.
