Proliant Dairy Ingredients and Trega Foods Dissolve Their Partnership

ANKENY, Iowa and WEYAUWEGA, Wisconsin (July 13, 2004) – Proliant Dairy Ingredients (formerly a division of Proliant Inc.), a global leader in applied dairy protein sciences for food, health and nutrition, and Trega Foods, a manufacturer of cheese and dairy-based ingredients, announce that they will dissolve their strategic partnership. The partnership combined Proliant Dairy Ingredients’ global sales and dairy protein research expertise with Trega Foods’ new state-of-the-art, proprietary manufacturing capabilities of the Iso-Chill™ Whey Protein Isolates.

Proliant Dairy Ingredients began their dairy protein business thirteen years ago with a strategic partnership with Hilmar Cheese Company of Hilmar, California and later developed a second strategic partnership with Trega Foods. Due to the recently announced acquistion of Proliant Dairy Ingredients by Hilmar Cheese Company, Proliant Dairy Ingredients and Trega Foods will dissolve their partnership effective July 20, 2004.
