The Transvaluation of Trans Fats: Expert to Unmask Trans Fats at Upcoming Food Manufacturer’s Technical Meeting

Saskatoon, SK, Canada – Dr. Rakesh Kapoor will discuss trans fats at the upcoming National Association of Flavors & Food-Ingredient Systems (NAFFS) Technical Meeting on April 13, 2004, in Edison, New Jersey. Recognized as an expert on the use of essential fatty acids (EFAs) in formulations for supplementation, Dr. Kapoor has more than 20 years of experience in essential fatty acid formulation and research.

From baby biscuits and cookies to fast foods and hydrogenated margarines, trans fats have been infused into our food supply, and now manufacturers, processors, and suppliers are seeking trans fats alternatives for their products. Dr. Kapoor will speak to members of the food manufacturing industry on issues pertaining to this newly-exposed danger in our food. During his presentation, Dr. Kapoor will address the following topics related to trans fats:
